Bam Margera, through a now deleted video, has revealed that he won’t be in the upcoming Jackass 4. The skater, who has been with the Jackass crew since the first film in 2003, had a role in the upcoming movie, but his sobriety issues have likely led to his removal.
During the video he says Paramount forced him to do unreasonable things to prove his sobriety and that he was trying to get into a better mental state. He also urged his fans to boycott the movie when it is eventually released.
“Who the f*** cares if I’m drunk as hell anymore? Jackass has put me through hell on f***ing wheels for a year-and-a-half,” says Bam, claiming Paramount forced him to take multiple breathalyzer tests, give urine samples, and filmed him taking anti-depressants.
“I wrote them so many ideas, and if I’m not in the movie and they use my ideas, how do you think that will make me feel? The last thing I want to do is be in a court room with Jeff Tremaine, I love him. But f***, man, I’m not in Jackass 4? If anybody cares about me, don’t go see their movie, because I will make mine way f***ing radder if you just Venmo me a dollar.
“Jackass was everything to me.”
The films, released in 2003, 2006 and 2010, were all box office hits. At a budget of less than $20m for each film, they collectively brought in $335m at the box office around the globe. The fourth film in the series has been given a release date of 2 July 2021.
